What you need:
- 1/2" plastic headband
- 1.5" wide satin ribbon: 2 pieces each, 36" long + 2 x 2" pieces for the ends
- A sewing machine or needle and thread
- Hot glue gun
Instructions:
Step 1: Lay your 2" pieces of satin ribbon flat on top of each other and either with your sewing machine or needle and thread, sew along both long sides to create a tube, leaving both short ends open.
If using a sewing machine, set your stitch length to 3 (longer stitch length than normal) to avoid puckering.
Step 2: Slide your satin ribbon tube over your plastic headband, scrunching it all on so that it fits.
Step 3. With a small dab of hot glue, glue your ends in place towards the bottom of each side of your headband. This is just to hold them in place.
Step 4. Heat seal the ends of your 3" pieces and wrap each one around the ends of the headband, covering the ends of your satin ribbon tube. Glue in place
You're all done!
Embellish the top with beads or pearls for a more elegant look!
