Step-by-Step: Crafting Your Felt Wall Flower

1. Cut Your Petal Shapes

  • Trace & Cut the Petals: Draw your petals on the felt using a pen or chalk, then carefully cut them out. We wanted 5 petals so we cut 10 out so that we could stuff them.

  • Trace & Cut the Center: Then you can use circle die cuts or just cut out 2 circles for the center.

2. Create Your Shapes

  • Make the Petal Shape: Grab 2 petal cut outs and hot glue (or stitch) almost all the way around the outside edge. Do this to all of your petals.
  • Make the Center Shape: Grab both circles and hot glue (or stitch) almost all the way around the outside edge.
  • Stuff the Shapes & Secure: Now, add stuffing through the hole you left in the shapes and then use hot glue (or finish stitching) to secure the whole shape together.

3. Add a Stem (Optional)

  • Leaf Shapes: Cut out two long pieces of green felt and then hot glue them together to make your stem shape. Feel free to add leaves to it too!

4. Create Your Flower

  • Layout: Play around with your petals going around the center circle until you're happy with your flower.

  • Secure with Hot Glue: Once you're happy with your flower, add hot glue to the edge of each petal and attach them to the backside of the center circle.

5. Add a Bow (Optional)

Ribbon Bow: Attach a bow to the flowers "neck" area or anywhere for the cutest addition!

And then you're all done and ready to hang them on your wall! We've added a few of our favorite ways we've seen them styled below!
