End Your Summer with a BANG!

The 10 Best Places To Vacation in July!

July is the perfect month to set off on a getaway. After all, there’s nothing better than ending summer with a fabulous vacation. That’s why we decided to compile a list of destinations to end your summer in the right way!

We rounded up the dreamiest destinations no matter what kind of trip you’re planning! Take a look at our favorite destinations to visit, along with travel tips and recommendations of there to stay!

1. Highlands, North Carolina

A visit to the Highlands is an unforgettable experience that will have you fantasizing all year about going back. July is a great time to visit as the elevation creates fall like weather which is something we all miss. There are copious amounts of hiking trails and views to be discovered. Once in the Highlands, plan on staying at the lush Old Edwards Inn and Spa where you can either spend your days by the pool or indulging in farm fresh local cuisine.

2. Fiji

Fiji is one of those magical places that is amazing to visit all year round, but July is one of the best months to do so thanks to the ideal weather and countless activity options. If you’re looking for a romantic getaway, stay at the Royal Davui Island Fiji Resort, an adults-only resort situated on the Beqa Lagoon. You can’t go wrong this summer with any of Fiji’s 333 islands and beaches.

3. Tuscany, Italy

Wrap up the summer with a trip to the art, wine, and pasta-filled region of Tuscany in Italy. Start your journey with a stay at Hotel Lungarno in Florence, with views overlooking the iconic Ponte Vecchio bridge. While in Florence, take advantage of the bustling art and culture scene—see Michelangelo’s David for yourself, and climb to the top of the Duomo for the most picturesque view of the city.

4. Napa Valley, California

Head to the Northern California wine region in July to take full advantage of warm daytime weather, cool nights, and slightly less crowds than you’d find during harvest season, which is August through October. For a romantic getaway in the area, stay at the luxurious Auberge du Soleil, which is set on 33 acres of olive and oak trees and is home to the Michelin Star awarded restaurant, The Restaurant at Auberge du Soleil. You really can’t go wrong with this vacation classic.

5. Auburn, Alabama

Voted “The South’s Best College Town” according to Southern Living, Auburn makes for a great place to hideaway for a long weekend this July before the students return. Once in town, head over to The Hotel at Auburn University for a centrally located stay walking distance from the downtown shops and restaurants. Hungry? Head over to the Acre Restaurant where their culinary team has reinterpreted the rich heritage of Alabama cuisine. Visit the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art, Toomer’s Corner, or the Chewacla State Park for your fill of southern charm.

6. New York City, New York

While there’s no such thing as a bad time to visit New York, one could argue that the best time to visit is in July. Central Park is buzzing with activity and jaw-dropping sunsets can be enjoyed alongside rooftop cocktails. As for accommodations: The Surrey promises quintessential luxury uptown; downtown, The Bowery Hotel is a hip local favorite. The sheer variety of activities that the Big Apple has to offer is endless.

7. Rosemary Beach, Floria

While at Rosemary Beach, discover award-winning architecture, acres of pristine natural land and some of the area’s most highly rated restaurants. The breathtaking scenery and inviting atmosphere draw in beach lovers, art enthusiasts and foodies from around the world. Carefully planned and beautifully executed, Rosemary Beach’s signature look makes it stand out as one of South Walton’s most visually enticing neighborhoods. Check out some housing rentals online, or keep it simple by staying at The Pearl Hotel.

8. Amalfi Coast

Enjoy the rest of your sunny days in the Amalfi Coast. July is generally considered the height of peak season in the region, so the towns will be buzzing with activity. In the heart of Positano, book a room at the breathtaking Villa Franca, or for minimalist luxury, the whitewashed Casa Angelina in the cliffs of Praiano promises seclusion and sweeping views.

9. Corsica

This Mediterranean island is warm and sunny all month long, with average temperatures in the high 70s meaning you can hike, laze on the beach, and explore local vineyards without breaking a sweat. If that sounds too good to be true, just wait until you take a deep breath: the intoxicating scent wafting throughout the area is a Corsica staple. It comes from Maquis, an aromatic shrub that covers half of the island, and locals will tell you the scent is even traceable from far out at sea. As for accommodations, we recommend the boutique hotel U Capu Biancu on Corsica’s south coast, which has an excellent cellar specializing in regional wine, sea-view suites and two private beaches.

10. Gobi Desert, Mongolia

For those in search of a decidedly unique travel experience, look no further than the desolate, breathtaking landscape of the Gobi. To capture the full Mongolian experience, stay in a ger (the traditional home of the nomads) and visit with a nomadic family to learn about their culture and heritage. Feeling adventurous? Head out to the Flaming Cliffs, one of the largest fossil sites in the world.

We hope you all have a wonderful end of your summer vacations! Be sure to comment your favorite summer vacation spot below!
